Well done to Natalie Wildig from Emu Plains for her HSC achievement of an ATAR of 91.65 and to Luke Johnson from Glenbrook with 90.7. Natalie and Luke are both students at Penrith Anglican College. Proposed Train Stabling Yard at Emu Plains

Information is now available for the proposed $182 million project to construct a new train stabling facility near Emu Plains Station. The Review of Environmental Factors has been on display at Penrith and Emu Plains Libraries and representatives from Railcorp and NovoRail have provided local information sessions at Nepean High School and the Lennox centre. Emu Plains husband and wife rose exhibitors, Doug and Glynis Hayne, won the Grand Champion Award at the Illawarra Regional Rose Show held in October. Some 15 years ago the local exhibitors planted four bushes of Joyfulness an orange hybrid tea rose and won their first prize with roses from these bushes in the bunch [...]

Emu Plains rosarian, Ted Morphett has been awarded Grand Champion of the third RAS Show held as part of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
